Katie Reid serves as the Implementation and Support Team Lead at Element 74, where she guides the team responsible for onboarding, technical support, and client success on the Jumbl and Coalition Manager platforms. She mentors team members, sets priorities, and serves as a primary point of contact for client escalations, ensuring that organizations using Jumbl and Coalition Manager feel supported every step of the way.
For nearly 20 years, Katie has worked in the nonprofit sector, primarily in sexual violence prevention and victim advocacy. She spent five years as Director of Systems Advocacy, Prevention, and Training at the South Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault (SCCADVASA), where she led statewide capacity-building, training, and systems-support initiatives for organizations serving survivors, with a particular focus on those who are most marginalized. Earlier in her career, she directed community education programs at Sexual Trauma Services of the Midlands and worked directly with youth and families through school- and community-based prevention programs.
From 2011 to 2015, Katie lived in Mwanza, Tanzania. Working in Swahili alongside Tanzanian peers, she trained facilitators and supported a grassroots program teaching life skills to young mothers, and later worked with a local hospital system and health department on strategic planning and international funding proposals. That experience deepened her belief in the power of local partnership and practical, community-driven solutions, values she carries into her work at Element 74 today.
Katie holds a Master of Social Work from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor of Science in Social Work, cum laude, from New York University. She first connected with Element 74 in 2015 at SCCADVASA, when she was tasked with spearheading the onboarding of the platform for the Coalition and their 22 member organizations. In 2017, she started as a consultant helping to improve the Coalition Manager database for state and tribal coalitions and joined the team full-time in 2020.
Katie is passionate about helping advocates and nonprofit professionals find data management solutions that actually fit the way they work, solutions that free up time and energy for the mission-critical work they do every day. Outside of the office, Katie enjoys cooking, traveling, and goofing around with her husband, their two spunky children, their loyal dog (Lee Baby Sims), and the family’s two semi-loyal cats (Dame Agatha Kitty and Gidget Marie).
