Systems Engineer
Achila Ramanayake is a Systems Engineer at Element 74, Inc., where he helps manage and support the systems and infrastructure that keep the company’s platforms running smoothly. With more than 20 years of experience in technology, he has worked across cloud computing, networking, systems administration, and security.
Over the years, Achila has built and maintained reliable systems that help both people and technology work better together. His long experience with Element 74 has given him a strong understanding of the company’s technology and how it has grown and changed. That perspective allows him to introduce new ideas while still preserving the stability and reliability that people depend on every day.
He enjoys the problem-solving aspect of his work and the fact that there is always something new to learn. Since technology is constantly evolving, Achila looks for practical ways to improve systems, simplify processes, and prepare for future needs. Whether he is responding to an unexpected challenge or planning ahead, he focuses on solutions that are reliable, secure, and easy to maintain.
One of the most rewarding parts of his job is knowing that much of his work happens behind the scenes, helping others focus on their responsibilities without having to worry about the technology supporting them. To Achila, good systems should quietly enable people to do their best work.
Outside the office, Achila enjoys spending time with his son and exploring their shared interest in designing and modeling 3D creations. What began as a fun way to learn and experiment together has grown into a passion for 3D printing and turning ideas into physical objects. More recently, he has taken up an interest in drones and is enjoying learning to fly them, another way to combine his curiosity with his love of technology and learning.
